Avatar Legends Expands Controller Support With Latest Patch
The game seems to have steady improvement

Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game has announced another update that adds compatibility for a wider range of controllers on PlayStation 5, including support for PlayStation 4 controllers.

The developers shared the news in a post on social media, saying:

"A new PS5 update is now available for Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game. 🎮

This update includes additional support for numerous controllers on PS5, including compatibility for PS4 and a variety of 3rd party controllers.

During this maintenance period, Crossplay will be down for approximately 24-48 hours. Our team will keep you all updated on its status.

We'll continue listening to feedback and send out more future updates, thank you!"

The game was released at the end of July, and the developers have continued to improve it through a series of post-launch updates.

The studio also came under criticism after announcing that the Xbox and Nintendo Switch 2 versions of the game would be delayed until roughly a month after the initial launch. While the decision frustrated many affected players, the developers have continued to demonstrate a commitment to supporting and improving the game.

The game is also set to make its major competitive debut at CEO 2026, where it is currently the fourth most-entered title behind Street Fighter 6, Tekken 8, and Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls.
