Just when you thought it's crazy that BlazBlue is getting a new character, they're adding two more to a game from 1996.
Many were quite surprised when Arc System Works announced that they're adding a new character to BlazBlue Central Fiction, a game that is over 10 years old at this point.
However, that's peanuts compared to Art of Fighting 3: The Path of the Warrior, a game that celebrated its 30th anniversary this year.
More details will come later, but for now we know that they are planning some rather substantial changes, such as rebalancing the game and adding two more characters.
What's interesting is that while King and Yuri are not entirely new characters, it doesn't seem like their sprites were outright ported from other games. Perhaps SNK fans can correct me, but I'm not sure if that would even be possible.
After all, one of the defining features for Art of Fighting, is that it features some of the most detailed sprites of that era. It both showcased Neo Geo's scaling features, while also zooming in way closer to the characters when possible to show off the sprites.
