Arjun’s Critical Art looks insane!

Arjun is the second DLC character set to come to Street Fighter 6 in October. He was a police officer framed for the murder of his partner and is on the hunt for the real killers. He is a yoga warrior with interesting mechanics never before seen in the game.

At the ongoing Tokyo Game Show, new footage featuring CPU matches between Arjun and an array of Street Fighter 6 characters has hit the internet, and from it, there are some things that can be gleaned about the character.

The video, which was found on the Baha Game Crazy channel, a Taiwanese community, showed off what Arjun can do in a fight.

Of the many things seen in the 12-minute video, perhaps the most striking was his Critical Art, which wasn’t shown in his gameplay trailer. Critical Art is a special type of Level 3 Super that characters have access to when their life gauge is below a certain threshold. CAs, as they are often called, deal more damage and feature a different cinematic.

For Arjun, he claps his opponent in the face, disorienting them, and then he clutches the ground and, like an earthbender, wills a portion of the earth to rise like a huge pillar with him on top of it. When the pillar reaches its zenith, Arjun places his thumb on the ground and takes some soil, which turns golden, and smears it on his forehead. He then leaps off the pillar to grab one of several boulders that are rising in the air from the shock of his initial earthbending, and, with the full force and velocity of the boulder, he smashes his terrified opponent below.

There were a few other things of note, including the fact that he doesn’t deal grey life damage with every hit, but only with certain special moves. His shoulder charge is one, along with his stalagmite move and command grab.

Arjun was also seen to be a little goofy, as shown in one of his win animations, which sees him play to the stereotype of an Indian dance over his opponent.

Arjun already looks like he could be a good character, but there can be no guarantee until he is finally released and players get to have a feel for him.

Arjun will join the SF6 cast on October 13, 2026.
