Are Guile and Cammy's New Costumes Just Full Metal Alchemist Ripoffs?

Full Metal Alchemist is one of the most popular and highly rated shows ever made and the characters of Edward Elric and Hohenheim Elric are well known and have doubtless inspired many other creations. 

But who would have thought that there might be a correlation between the popular anime and Street Fighter 6?

A popular creator on X (formerly Twitter), @hershuar, posted an artwork which featured Edward and Hohenheim Elric beside Cammy and Guile in their new costumes and they looked eerily similar. 

The picture also pointed out similarities, for instance, both Cammy and Edward are pretty shoort while Guile and Hohenheim share blond hairstyles and patient attitudes. 

Meanwhile, Edward and Cammy's outfits also look similar as they both have distinctive red capes on and are also both blonde. 

Joking aside, Cammy's outfit has been confirmed to be a tribute to the cape she wore in the Street Fighter animated movie. Meanwhile, Guile's look was inspired by his deeply American personality and the desire to see what Guile will look like with his iconic hair worn down. 

This was just a bit of a joke on the internet, but it would be interesting to see how much use Cammy and Guile's costumes will get. Depending on who you ask, Cammy's outfit is either brilliant or underwhelming, while Guile's is weird due to just how iconic is normal look is. 

The outfit 3 is available in Street Fighter 6's internal shop and  is  available from today, the 1st of December 2023.
