Arc System Works Will Announce New Game at Anime Expo 2026
And it probably won't be what you expect it to be.

Over at their X account, Anime Expo dropped new details about the upcoming Arc System Works panel that will be taking place during the event.

Outside of talking about Guilty Gear Strive and the upcoming Demon's Night Fever RPG, they will announce an entirely new "anime-style" title.

Naturally, this kicked off some speculations about what this title could be, with many hoping that it could be related to Blazblue, a series that is long overdue for a proper sequel.

While anything is possible, it's best to keep your expectations in check and consider who is leading that panel. Satoshi Harayae has previously worked on titles like Crymachina, Sword Art Online: Last Recollection, and Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment.

In case you're not familiar, all of these titles are anime action RPGs, so it seems likely that this new unannounced title will be a game in a similar vein. That said, it could still take place in any of the ASW IPs, like Blazblue, for example.

Though the real ones know that it must be a remake of the most successful and beloved Arc System Works title - Guilty Gear 2!
