ArcSys Shares Survey Results in Latest Developer's Backyard

Arc System Works is back with another edition of Developer's Backyard, this time simply sharing some of the info from the recent player survey.

Character Match-Up Theme Song

As was shared previously, Sol x Asuka theme has won the vote, with voter quotes indicating that people are pretty hype about a chance to learn more about two extremely important characters through their song.

The runner-ups are Bridget x Unika in second, Axl x I-No in third, and Nagoriyuki vs Slayer in last.

Developers note that they're pretty surprised to see Robo-Ky become so popular despite the recent release. And here is the split for how popular the characters are across different regions.

How Players Felt About GGST 2.0

72.8% of responders felt like the update improved the game.

12.7% thought it didn't change that much.

14.5% felt like the game actually got worse.

Desired Future Feature Updates

5. Addition of replay takeover

Here developers note that they are indeed already working on replay takeover feature, and a more intuitive frame data display. So they very much understand the desire for better practice tools alongside new ways to enjoy the game outside of versus battles.

Feedback Received Regarding Blazing Pass

The feedback to the blazing pass is split into two parts, here they are in order of popularity.

PROS:

CONS:

• Not enough rewards I want
• Concerned about limited time
• Hard to find enough time to play
• Unsure if I can complete in time

There's a strong sentiment that FOMO aspect of the battle pass is just pushing people away, and developers state that they are review the progression and making previous rewards available through other means.
