Rivals 2, the successor to Rivals of Aether, took to the Evo stage today to announce that beyond the game being a free-to-play title, all characters in the game will be free, with no DLC or grind whatsoever. Stating that the only purchasable content for characters in Rivals 2 will be cosmetics for said fighters.

Alongside the annoucement of this policy, the developers also showcased their latest addition to the roster prior to the game release sometime in Q4 this year. Orcane, which testers in the July beta, which starts next weekend, will be able to get their hands on.
