2XKO Disables Spectating Games Due to Critical Screen Freeze Bug
The team is urgently trying to fix it, but there is no ETA.

2XKO players have recently been experiencing a rather critical if not overwhelmingly common bug that would cause the game to hang on the loading screen forever.

As developers themselves put it, the good news is that they've identified what causes this, and are working on a fix.

Bad news? It's tied to spectating games, which means the feature will be disabled until the fix makes it through in the next patch.

2XKO's Esports Product Lead, Ben Goldhaber, has already commented the issue, warning the online competitive community that might cause issues for those who rely on the feature to stream the matches (which is pretty much everybody.)

While there's no ETA, keep in mind that this fix would have to go through the platform review process on Xbox and PlayStation, meaning that even when it is actually fixed, there is still going to be a short delay before it can be deployed.

Hopefully they manage to sort this out pretty quickly, because even while competitive communities can find workarounds to stream matches, it's still a fairly crucial feature for fighting games overall. Especially ones with a prominent social component like 2XKO. Some of you might recall that it actually has one of the best spectate features of all fighting games, with quick previews that allow you to jump in and watch matches from other people in the hub.
