2ez Announces Retirement From Competitive Mortal Kombat
He will face 2XKO and Fatal Fury: CotW

AJ Pieri, otherwise known as 2eZ has announced his retirement from competitive Netherrealm Studios games. 2eZ has been known to compete in various fighting games and is currently signed to Alliance.

He took to X to notify all his followers that Combo Breaker 2025 was his last tournament for MK1.

He said in a statement:

"Combo Breaker 2025 was my last tournament competing in Mortal Kombat, so you could say I’m officially retiring from NetherRealm Studios titles. Thank you for everything, I’ve devoted my life — sweat, blood, and tears for almost 10 years, and I don’t regret any of it. Of course I’ll still be around supporting the homies in MK, but moving forward I will be training full time for COTW & 2XKO"

"This isn’t a sad tweet, the future is looking bright — With that being said, WE’RE HEADING TO SWEDEN AS WE SPEAK. LETS GET TO WORK, S/O TO THE SICKEST TEAM @theAllianceGG"

 "SEE YOU SOON @Headstomper"

With support for Mortal Kombat 1 ending and expectations of a new fighting game from NRS coming it remains to be seen how the competitive scene continues with other games like 2XKO and Fatal Fury: CotW with more competitive viability.
