16-Year-Old Bleed Wins Frosty Faustings, Claims First-Ever 2XKO Major
The age of prodigies is upon us

The era of young stars continues to define modern fighting games, and 2XKO has now produced its own breakout moment. At Frosty Faustings XVIII, the game’s first-ever major tournament, Bleed, a 16-year-old prodigy, defeated a field of seasoned veterans to take the championship and a $20,000 prize.

Representing ONi Global, Bleed capped off an incredible run with a 3–1 Grand Finals victory over Supernoon. Using the Ekko and Illaoi pairing, he showcased composure well beyond his years and proved to be the most consistent player throughout the event.

What makes the win even more remarkable is how new Bleed is to the competitive scene. He only began competing in 2025 and was signed by ONi Global in September of that year, a move that already looks inspired. In a bracket filled with experienced competitors, Bleed navigated every challenge and emerged as a deserving champion.

With Frosty Faustings now in the books, the 2XKO competitive circuit still has four Challenger events remaining. EVO Japan, EVO Las Vegas, and EVO France account for roughly 60 percent of the remaining tournaments, with Battle Coliseum set to close out the cycle later in 2026.

All eyes now turn to EVO Japan, where players are expected to compete on a slightly updated version of the game following upcoming additions and refinements.

As a new entry in the FGC, 2XKO is still finding its footing. Competitive play has already proven to be a strong showcase, as Frosty Faustings delivered exciting matches and strong viewer engagement. However, the game is not without its issues.

The 12-character roster is considered small, particularly for a tag fighter where players select two characters. There have also been reports of screen tearing on PlayStation 5, which has negatively impacted the experience for some competitors.

Despite these early concerns, the long-term outlook remains positive. With Riot Games backing the title and the expansive League of Legends universe to draw from, 2XKO has the foundation to grow into a mainstay of the FGC.

If Frosty Faustings is any indication, the future of the game may very well belong to the next generation, and Bleed has already staked his claim as one of its first stars.
