MK1 Esports: COTR Season 2 W1 Results

Start of a new competitive season is especially exciting. The previous history is kind of erased, and players rush into new action, with fresh chances to gain standing points and celebrate the ultimate victory.

Champions of the Realms had a wonderful Season 1, with eight weekly tournaments and a spectacular Final event.

Season 2 reset the league — but some competitors already have points on their names, after matches of Week 1.

MK1 COTR Season 2 Week 1

The main fight of this tournament started in the Semi-Final. Getrekedyo- faced Dragon and defeated him with an impressive 3:0.

For Getrekedyo-, the way to the Grand Final laid through a match vs dexydawg — and it was another confident 3:0 victory. Dragon had to make it through three opponents, including dexydawg in the Losers Final.

In the Grand Final, the players experiment with different character/kameo pairs. Getrekedyo- started with Liu Kang but after a couple of rounds switched back to Johnny Cage. Dragon took Tanya/Stryke to start this match, and this choice helped him reset the bracket. When the situation got somewhat shaky in the Grand Final Reset, Dragon switched to Sindel/Kung Lao — nope, it did not help.

Getrekedyo- is the winner of MK1 COTR S2 Week 1.

We can witness a bit different type of Mortal Kombat matches in show-events COTR Arena. Week 7 treated us to some amazing Reptile action.
