Ken

Ken is the son of a very wealthy family, the Masters. As a teenager, his father sent him to Japan to train under Gouken to teach him discipline and respect. Ken was hesitant but eventually came around to respect Gouken’s teachings. Ken also made friends with Gouken’s adopted child, Ryu, a friendship that would continue well into the future.

After winning the US Martial Arts Tournament, Ken meets his future wife, Eliza. Soon after, he would return to Japan, as he had gotten wind of more expert fighters in that region. But he meets a stressed Ryu who feels beneath Ken after a run-in with Sagat. Ken then chooses to give Ryu his red headband and empowers him to continue training, telling him that there is great power within him.

Ken came back to Eliza and married her. He had promised Ryu he would train since the two were slated to fight in the next World Warrior tournament, but Ken chose to spend most of his time with the love of his life and soon to be the mother of their son Mel.

Sometime later, Ken and his family are invited to a party hosted by Karin, though that would be a front to plan an attack on a Shadaloo base. Along with Chun-Li and Cammy, he travels to Brazil, looking for one of the chess pieces that Laura was holding. While there, Sean is saved by the group of Shadaloo soldiers. Later, Ryu and Ken would meet again and defeat M. Bison in their final assault against Shadaloo.

Years later, Ken and his family moved to Southern California and allowed Sean to be his disciples. Even with all these responsibilities, he still holds the title of US Martial Arts Champions.
