Biography

This man has taken the path of yoga and obtained mysterious powers, such as levitation and breathing fire. These abilities make Dhalsim a great fighter, but they are not meant to be used in this way. Yoga is for reaching enlightenment, and Dhalsim knows this very well. He participates in fighting tournaments only to raise money for the poor, and he doesn’t harm the opponents too much - just enough to win.

Sometimes, Dhalsim helps people by preventing the terrible plans of Shadaloo and M. Bison. He wants to stop such villains but understands that they are an incarnation of evil and can’t be destroyed forever. Still, Dhalsim believes that the good is always mightier.

Many fighters visit Dhalsim to learn from him. Even his doubts on the proper use of the Yoga powers can’t make him a less prominent personality and a role model for other Street Fighter characters.
