Cell

Cell is the most powerful creation of Dr. Gero’s genius. However, unlike his “sisters” and “brothers”, he was completed by the Supercomputer. As his name suggests, he possesses the cells of many powerful fighters like Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, Frieza, and King Cold.Know more

Biography

Biography

Dr. Gero was a genius evil scientist, whose plan was to create an army of androids to carry out his plans. He created dozens of them, with some of the most prominent being Androids 16, 17, 18, and 21. Powerful as they were, their power wasn’t enough. However, in a parallel timeline, Gero’s supercomputer finished the monumental task of creating an incredibly powerful Bio-Android named Cell. He possessed the traits of such powerful fighters as Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, Frieza, and King Cold. Thus, he was able to use any and each of their moves freely. Furthermore, he possessed the unique ability to devour living beings to increase his power level.

After being sent to the main timeline by himself, Cell’s first major hurdle was Piccolo. Not being in his perfect state yet, he loses to him badly. Cornered, Cell resorts to using subterfuge and manages to ambush Piccolo, draining his arm of any power in the process. After Future Trunks and Krillin arrive at the scene, Cell has no other option but to flee and power up by absorbing humans.

Cell achieved its ultimate form as the Perfect Cell after absorbing Android 18, and several other androids before her. In this state, he’s able to defeat very formidable opponents such as Vegeta, Future Trunks, and even Goku. However, he was eventually overpowered by Gohan.

Gameplay

Pros & Cons

Cell is a definition of a Jack of all Trades in-game. He’s good at everything you ask of him, and as such proves to be a perfect rookie character. He has a solid damage output, incredible air options, and borderline obscene corner pressure. The only noticeable flaw of his is subpar assists, which are situational at best. This, and not the best neutral game. All things considered though, that’s hardly a deterrent if you want to pick an all-around-great character.
