Bardock

Bardock is Goku's Biological father. A low-Class Saiyan warrior who was defeated at the hands of Dodoria, one of Frieza's Commanders. Not much is known about him beyond the heroic effort of Bardock's Planet Elite Force to stop Frieza and their commanders, even if ultimately fruitless.Know more

Biography

Biography

Serving Under Frieza

Bardock led a small platoon of Saiyans across many planets to weaken the defenses of said places in preparation for turning control over to the Galactic Frieza Army, a vast empire spanning most of the universe. In his time serving, Bardock met Gine, the eventual mother of their son Goku. The two showed a level of love toward each other not often seen in Saiyans, as they mostly pair with one another to reproduce. After the birth of Goku, Bardock also showed an un-Saiyan-like appreciation and care for his son.

Back in Planet Vegeta

After an assignment, Bardock received a message informing all Saiyans to return to Planet Vegeta, the home planet of the Saiyans. On his way back, he sees Frieza's menacing Spaceship orbited right above the planet. He begins to suspect the leader of the intergalactic empire might have his eyes on the destruction of his planet. His son Goku is still in his incubator, and after speaking with Gine about his suspicions, they devise a plan to send Goku to a peaceful planet, Earth. If Frieza was not planning anything, then they could look for him at a later time.

Bardock's fears were proven right when Frieza, a month after, unleashes one of his most powerful attacks on the planet, decimating Bardock, Gine, and every other Saiyan on the surface.

Gameplay

Pors & Cons

Bardock is considered a generally beginner-friendly character with low-intensity combos and a potent neutral game. And even if not played on stage, his Assist is among one of the most useful in the game. Opposite to that, his limited Mixup potential outside of assists and rather difficult to execute jump medium in the heat of the moment can sometimes prove deadly for some. Overall he is a brawler that excels at pressuring his opponents but might struggle if unassisted.
