The King of Fighters XV release.

Highly anticipated throughout the community, the fresh installment of The King of Fighters series was finally released for PC, PlayStation 4/5, and Xbox Series X|S. The average critic's score on all platforms is around 80, according to Metacritic.com. The user score, however, is slightly lower, somewhere around 6.5 on average.

Combo Breaker 2022 is coming our way.

On February 15, the trailer for the upcoming Combo Breaker 2022 was posted on Twitter, meaning one of the biggest fighting game conventions is finally back and will be held on May 27-29, 2022, with a roster of 24 disciplines to compete in. 

ARCREVO America 2021 limitations

Arc System Works released a statement regarding the upcoming ARCREVO America 2021 Finals. Unfortunately, due to rising COVID-19 Omicron cases, no players from abroad of the USA will be allowed to participate, meaning Canada and Mexico are going to miss the tournament.

Nephew parting ways with Panda.

Alan "Nephew" Sun, one of the most prolific North American Street Fighter V players, will no longer be a part of Panda's roster after just six months' partnership. It was announced through Panda's official Twitter account on February 16 with no detailed explanation regarding such a decision.

BBTAG is getting a rollback

Arc System Works announced that BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle will be updated with rollback netcode on April 2022, with public tests starting on February 23rd for the Steam version of the game. 

Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2022

Despite the Team & Draft tournament on Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour being quite entertaining, the community was left mostly unsatisfied with the event 'cause many of the Dragon Ball FighterZ competitors expected more than an Android 21 Lab Coat showcase. Lots of individuals on Twitter rightfully complained that there was no news regarding adding a long-expected rollback netcode to the game or maybe a Season 4 announcement. 

Capcom Pro Tour 2021 Season Final

Last weekend the whole season of Street Fighter V action has been concluded with Season Final - a four-day long online event, featuring a team tournament and an exhibition money matches between the winners of each Capcom Pro Tour 2021 tournament. There was a handful of juicy sets so don't forget to check the results down below.

Glitch - Infinite

One of the biggest conventions dedicated to the Super Smash Bros. series took place on February 18-20, offline in Laurel, USA. Except for Smash Ultimate tournament with lots of amazing players from North America, Europe, and Asia, it also featured tournaments for Tekken 7, Street Fighter V, Guilty Gear -STRIVE-, Dragon Ball FighterZ, Melty Blood Type Lumina, Samurai Shodown, and Ultimate Marvel v Capcom 3

In the end, Brian "Cosmos" Kalu won the Smash Ultimate tournament in a reset fashion, with Salvatore "Zomba" DeSena and Jake taking 2nd and 3rd places respectively. You can check the full results down below.
